Une révélation en marche: les débuts d'Andre Suarès
Les Pélerins d'Emmaus and the Lettre sur les Anarchistes, André Suares's first published works, in spite of their structural and stylistic differences, are connected by their epiphanic motif and informed by a strong Tolstoian influence. The Lettre, in particular, argues that anarchism is not the sole prerogative of terrorists, but the inevitable brand of modern selfish man throughout society, and Suarès issues therefore a hyperbolic but often eloquent call for moral reform.
